Canines 4 Comfort is a 501(c)3 organization established to satisfy the growing need for Psychiatric Service Dogs and Emotional Support Dogs among veterans, children, and others afflicted with emotional disabilities.
Canines 4 Comfort trains psychiatric service dogs for veterans, children, and others in our community. We provide resources, training, education, care, and support to our clients and the communities we serve.
Our efforts focus on training our existing dogs and fulfilling the needs of those on our wait list. At this time, we are not able to assist with training dogs that have not been sourced nor evaluated by Canines 4 Comfort staff.
Services provided by Canines 4 Comfort are complimentary; however, as a nonprofit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of community donations to help us achieve our mission.
Canines 4 Comfort serves areas within a 90 mile radius of Round Lake, Illinois. We currently train in Grayslake, Illinois.
We offer a professional program for our trained canines to bring cheer and comfort to others while demonstrating their trained capabilities. Canines 4 Comfort can personalize visits to:
Are you interested in providing our "in training" dogs and puppies with foundational guidance? Canines 4 Comfort provides all supplies, support, coaching, and veterinary care; you provide a loving home and attend weekly training sessions. Please contact us and ask for information on becoming a host family. Commitments for our "puppy raisers" range from 4 -10 months.
Make a tax-deductible donation through our secure site and encourage others to do the same. We have been fortunate enough to receive many "in memorial" donations. You can specify on our site where to direct your donation.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or sharing our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you! We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
